Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Course provides the minimum requirement for those persons required to perform resuscitation. The course aims to establish competence in the required knowledge and skills‚ judgement and physical abilities for the application of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.

Description

This course includes training for a workplace setting and upon completion of all assessment activities, a State of Attainment will be issued in the following units of competency:

HLTAID009 – Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Course Length: 1 Hours

Validity: 12 months

Delivery

Pre course work: Self paced learning which will involve answering questions which are to be completed in a workbook or online prior to attending a face to face session. 

 

Prerequisites

There are no pre-requisites.

To ensure a successful and effective learning experience, please review the following before submitting an application for enrolment in the CPR course.

  • Minimum Age: 14 years.
  • Eligibility: Candidates must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or hold an appropriate visa allowing them to undertake education.  
  • Technology: Participants need to have access to a computer or smart device and an internet connection to complete the online and pre-course studies outside of face-to-face training sessions.
  • Physical Fitness: Participants must be able to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor.
